I have to admit it – I’m a numbers junkie. The whole 07/07/07 wedding date was awesome – and, not surprisingly, 06/06/06 had pregnant women holding their babes in for an extra day to avoid sharing a birthday with The Omen’s Damien. So now, 08/08/08 is nearly upon us…and signs point toward another cool date for weddings, birthdays, you name it. 8 is a lucky number in Chinese – and according to theknot.com, there will be a lot of Chinese brides that day. In fact, it is supposed to be the most popular FRIDAY wedding date IN HISTORY – by 400% or more.
Eight O’Clock Coffee – the coffee with a number in their name – is even giving away a free wedding on 08/08/08 with their Great Wedding Date contest (http://greatweddingdate.com) – people have to enter by 5/31 and write 8 sentences about why they should win this dream wedding in the Hamptons. They’ve signed on Rachael Ray bud Evette Rios to design the wedding. 08/08/08 is also a super easy anniversary to remember, whether or not you have a “y” chromosome.
Looking for a great date to propose? 08/08/08 could be the date for you. When you turn the 8 on its side it makes an infinity sign…a nice sentiment for proposing (maybe on a beach with the “8″ drawn in the sand…ah, I’m such the romantic).
